Who are Argeton

Telling the story of Plant Görlitz.

With an ever growing demand for Argeton Terracotta cladding tiles, in 2007 the company took on the huge undertaking of building a new production line at their plant in Görlitz. It seemed like they made the right decision and since then they haven’t looked back.

Since February 2008, production has been up and running in the 92 metre long twin-chambered roll furnace, which, in addition to the popular tile formats, can produce heights of 150 to 500mm and lengths up to 1,500mm. That’s more than enough façade panels for any sized building development!  Up to 1,500m2 of cladding tiles can be produced a day and with this production output Wienerberger GmbH is one of the largest producers of ceramic building cladding tiles in Europe.

With a purpose built roller kiln especially conceived for this process, the extruded cladding tile-plates are fired at high temperatures, individually and carefully coordinated depending on their respective shades. Achieving long-lasting weather-resistant quality is the utmost priority. The exact dimensioning of the Argeton tile-plates is guaranteed by a special calibrating facility – the essential element of the precise joint grid which lends the building façade its overall impression. The attention to detail is of the utmost importance.

Argeton’s ultra-modern laser-controlled conveying and production logistics guarantee an economical and flexible production process as well as excellent quality control and packaging. Nothing leaves the plant until it meets their exacting high standards.

When it comes to Terracotta cladding tiles,  Görlitz really is the home of craftsmanship, hard work and expertise all under one (very long) roof.
